Aquaseal

Postby bwolfe on Mon May 10, 2010

Aquaseal is great stuff for sealing leaks in waders. However, there have been questions on how to prevent it from hardening in the tube after it's been opened. I found that squeezing from the bottom of the tube and not mashing it in the middle helps a lot. When I am finished with an application, I make sure all of the air is out of the tube by rolling up the bottom of it. I then refrigerate it.

Today I used some from a tube that I stored about a year ago. Other than a small solidified plug under the cap, it was relatively fresh. I don't know if refrigerating it is necessary, but I'm sure that getting the air out is.
