Search

Postby bwolfe on Tue Feb 16, 2010

Regardless of the approach I take to perform a search, I always receive the following message --
"No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame".

I have selected various time frames, including one year, but still receive the same message, even for recent posts.

Am I doing something wrong?

What are you searching for? I just tried a search for "baetis" and it popped up 5 pages of results. Are you using the white search box in the upper right, or clicking the "advanced search" link?

Yes Cody, I'm successful to that point. However, if I want to read the complete post, I can't. If I click on "Jump To Post", which is supposed to take me there, I get the message I described.

I encountered the problem when I tried to view my old posts. I can, as you experienced see the post (or part of it), but I can't find it in it's entirety.

Hmm weird.. I try the "jump to post" link, and it works just fine for me... I've tested in both Firefox and Internet Explorer...

Instead of clicking "jump to post", what if you try clicking the post title? Does that help?

Problem solved.

I tried using Google Chrome and it worked. I tried Internet Explorer again, and it worked there also.

I usually let my computer on 24/7 (at least in the sleep mode). I found that sometimes when I have problems in Internet Explorer they can be resolved by shutting down and re-booting again. I think that's what happened this time. I just forgot about past experiences and forgot that re-booting would probably solve the problem.
